12 Dec 2018 Reflection
As we approach the end of the year, it is time to look back briefly at the past year, make sure we spend the Christmas break to best effect and start to think about what lies ahead in 2019.
The past year has been a happy year for Lindani. Despite the recession, we have continued to receive encouraging support from our guests with bookings being slightly up on 2017. The Mountain Bike race was successfully reintroduced and we held our first Trail Running Race which was well received. Tripadvisor and Afristay both awarded Lindani Certificates of Excellence and we were delighted to receive a Sanlam Top Destination award. Our staff continued to demonstrate their commitment to Lindani and to generate oft repeated positive feedback from guests Thank you guests and staff.
Christmas is an extremely important time for Lindani. As has been the case over the last few years, we are fully booked back to back for the period 14th December to 7th January – for which we are most grateful. It is also a very important time for our guests – that one opportunity to wind down from the pressures and stress that are so much a part of current working life. We will do our very best to make their stay at Lindani a time of peace and joy and, hopefully, love within the family.
After all, that is what Christ’s birth is really all about and what more special place than his beautiful creation at Lindani to celebrate the occasion.
What will 2019 bring?
Obviously the general election will dominate the first part of the year. We hope it will bring forth leaders prepared to serve all the citizens of our country in place of seeking to satisfy their own personal wants. Hopefully the preachers of hatred and division will not get the support they are hoping for and South Africa will start on a new road of building a nation where all South Africans feel they are included.
We wish all of our many guests a blessed Christmas and a much better year ahead than you could ever imagine.
